This will be Amanda's first year teaching fifth grade and second at Alpine Elementary She previously taught second grade for four years in Lochbouie, CO. Amanda graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Shortly after graduation, she made the move out to beautiful Colorado and has no plan to ever leave! Amanda loves providing students with a safe, student-centered, and nurturing classroom environment. She enjoys making meaningful connections with students and families in the school.
Amanda currently lives with her husband, Kale (yes, like the vegetable), and their two fur babies, Mayla and Bonham. Mayla is a 3-year- old Catahoula mix and Bonham is a 2-year- old Heeler mix and boy do they have a lot of energy! In her spare time, Amanda enjoys being outdoors, doing (and coaching) Crossfit, spending time with friends and family, and trying to cook.
Amanda is ready to have an amazing year with an amazing group of kids!
