This will be my 22nd year as a 5th Grade teacher. I started my career in Naperville, Illinois for 3 years, and relocated to Longmont in 1997, where I worked at Mountain View for 16 years. I have two Bachelors degrees: one in Psychology and the other in Elementary Education. I earned my Masters degree 5 years ago through Grand Canyon University. I have two daughters; Emma is 14, and Kaia is 10.
My passions in teaching are to bring learning to life for my students through technology, interactive-collaborative activities, and my own enthusiasm for learning. I am thrilled to be a new member of the Alpine team, and believe my 5th grade teaching experience and my desire for new challenges will lend themselves well to the instruction of the STEM program and the nurturing of children to be inquiring, caring, and knowledgeable of the world as the IB program promotes. I am looking so forward to being a member of the Alpine community.
