Summer Program It's time to sign up for the Alpine summer program! We have two sessions of summer Stemapalooza full of design challenges and robotics. We also have a three day mid-session the week of the fourth of July that will be focused on computer science. This will be the last summer we are able to offer this as a free option (it is supported by the Race to the Top grant which will be ending).
Kristen Brohm, the STEM Coordinator at Alpine Elementary School says, "As we move forward in education, looking for innovators, problem solvers, and critical thinkers, we are changing what we need to teach students." See the entire story here.
Alpine hosted a very successful talent show on Friday, March 6. The show included acts in dance, musical theater, instrumental and vocal music, comedy and martial arts. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade participated. Great thanks to Alpine PTO, Mandy Blumreich, and Nic Wiley for all their work.
Miles, the Broncos' mascot, joined Alpine on March 10 to help launch the 2016-2017 breakfast program. The morning began with a french toast breakfast, before school, provided by SVVS Nutrition Services. Students and families filled the cafeteria and gymnasium, enjoying food and fun. After a bit of exercise, school began with an Assembly in the gymnasium. Miles did an amazing job getting students pumped up about eating a healthy breakfast and making good choices for their bodies.
