Hello! My name is Leslie Cortez, and this is my fourth year at Alpine. I am a first-generation college graduate and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I also hold a Master’s degree in Reading and Writing Instruction from CU Denver.

I strive to foster a safe and welcoming environment for all students. I believe every student is capable of achieving anything they set their minds to, and I look forward to supporting them as they work toward their goals.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado, and I am proud to be both a St. Vrain Valley Schools graduate and an Alpine alumna. I am bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three dogs!
