ParentSquare Communication Tool

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
Parents and guardians should have received an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.
Alpine Teacher of the Year

We’re thrilled to announce Alpine’s Teacher of the Year… Daisy Wence!
Mrs. Wence’s passion for education goes beyond the curriculum. She understands that a student cannot learn if they do not first feel safe and valued. By investing time in their personal stories and unique backgrounds, she ensures every individual feels seen and heard.
Whether it’s a quiet word of encouragement in the hallway or a special lesson plan that reflects a student’s specific interests, Daisy works tirelessly to bridge the gap between instruction and inspiration.

New Book Vending Machine

We are thrilled to announce that our new book vending machine is officially open for business! Thanks to the incredible success of our FundRun and the tireless dedication of our PTO, every single student at Alpine will receive a brand-new book to take home this year.
We kicked off this exciting new tradition with our April birthdays, and seeing the joy and excitement on their faces as they selected their books was truly special. Looking ahead, our goal is for every student to receive a book for their birthday, plus at least one additional book during the school year.
There is nothing we love more than seeing books in the hands of our students. Thank you to our wonderful community for your continued support in fostering a love of reading at Alpine!

CMAS
Dear Alpine Families,
As part of our commitment to academic excellence, I’m excited to share details about the upcoming CMAS testing with you. I wanted to outline the purpose of these assessments, share important information about the schedule, and offer tips for preparing your child to do their best.
Purpose of Colorado CMAS Testing:
The Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments are an essential part of our efforts to evaluate student progress and ensure that our educational programs are meeting the needs of all students. These assessments are designed to measure students’ proficiency in various subjects, including English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. By participating in CMAS testing, we gain valuable insights into students’ academic strengths and areas where additional support may be needed. Additionally, CMAS results help us identify trends and make informed decisions to improve teaching and learning in our school.
Tips for Preparation:
To help your child perform their best during CMAS testing, here are a few tips:
- Ensure your child gets plenty of rest the night before each testing session.
- Provide a nutritious breakfast on testing days to fuel their minds and bodies.
- Encourage your child to do their best and approach each question with confidence.
- Get your child to school on time every day of the testing window.
Opt-Out Procedures:
We understand that some families may have concerns about their child participating in CMAS testing. If you wish to opt your child out of the assessment, please email your request to [email protected] no later than Thursday, April 3. We respect each family’s decision regarding participation in state assessments and will ensure that alternative arrangements are made for students who opt out.
Importance of Attendance:
It is essential for all students to attend school regularly and on time, especially during the CMAS testing window. Our assessments will begin promptly at 9:15 in the morning. Consistent attendance ensures that students have the opportunity to complete all required assessments without needing to make them up during instructional time later in the day or week.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education. If you have any questions or concerns about CMAS testing or any other aspect of your child’s academic journey, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We are expanding our options to include another care option for 3, 4 & 5 year olds.
- Big Sky Pre-K 8 (new this year)
- Burlington Elementary

SVVSD K-5 Care
We are excited to offer care to our elementary students at the following schools. Registration is a two-step process. In order to ensure we don’t overload the enrollment system, we stagger the enrollment open times. We have listed below the open times for our current care families so you can get a jump on the process.
Registration Tips
Families are first required to register their child through RevTrak, the online platform Community Schools uses, at stvrain.revtrak.net. After completing the registration, families must log into the system to individually select their anticipated days of care using the calendar feature. Families are encouraged to register early and select their anticipated days of care immediately. Families can always deselect days at a later date.
- Parents can click the school name above to go directly to its enrollment page.
- or go to stvrain.revtrak.net and choose your child’s home school and then follow the prompts to the CS: Enrichment & Child Care Registration page.
The RevTrak system works best from a desktop computer using either a Firefox or Chrome browser. It does not work well with mobile phones. Families will be asked to submit the following information online and should prepare accordingly:
- Parent(s) Driver’s License
- Child’s Emergency Contact Information (at least two individuals that are not parents/guardians)
- Child’s Primary Doctor, Dentist, and Preferred Hospital Information (including phone numbers and addresses)
- Child’s Individual Health and Educational Information
- All students must be attending the school where care is offered with the exception of Northridge, Sanborn and Timberline
For questions or registration support, please reach out to the onsite Community Schools manager at your child’s school. We look forward to our ongoing partnership as we prepare for a successful 2026-2027 school year.
