Principal Notes
Hello Alpine Families,
We’ve got some great opportunities coming up in October.
First, we have conferences. Parent-teacher conferences are one of the best opportunities for us to come together and ensure your child is on the path to success. These meetings allow us to not only talk about your child’s academic progress, but also to discuss their social and emotional growth, which is just as important. You know your child better than anyone, so your insights into their learning style, strengths, and challenges are incredibly valuable. We want to hear from you—what are you seeing at home? Are there areas where your child feels confident or where they might need extra support?
To make the most of your conference, here are a few tips: write down any questions or concerns you have ahead of time, so you don’t forget to bring them up during the meeting. Be open to hearing both strengths and areas for growth, and know that we’re here to work with you as a team. If there’s something specific you’re working on at home—whether it’s homework routines or building confidence—let us know so we can support those efforts in the classroom as well. Conferences are really about building a partnership that helps your child feel supported and ready to learn.
Additionally, Alpine is launching a number of engaging and interesting clubs in October sponsored by our PTO. We are looking forward to engaging as many students as possible. Check out information below about the diverse offerings we have that begin soon.
Gratefully,
Amber Marsolek EdD – Principal
Jennifer Dalby EdD – Dean of Students

Alpine Club Opportunities
Alpine Elementary is excited to announce a new offering this fall – Student Clubs! The majority of the cost of the clubs is being paid for by our Alpine PTO, using funds raised from our FundRun. All clubs (with the exception of Spanish that will run monthly) will run weekly on Wednesdays for 8 weeks, from October 16th to December 11th. Classes will run from 3:45-4:45. Students will check in with Lion’s Den after school and then the teacher will collect them to go to their club space. Students will be dismissed back to Lion’s Den and parents will need to pick up from the cafeteria door. Please be considerate of your child’s attendance and let the club teacher know if they will be absent. Please try not to miss more than one class so students can maximize their club experience. If you have any questions please call the office or contact the staff member running the club.

Alpine is putting together a silent auction basket to support the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. If you’d like to donate to the cause we could use the following items to round out a “Keeping it Cool” basket. Send them to school by Tuesday, October 15.

* A Bottle Opener
* A trucker hat or ball cap from a local business
* Cooler worthy snacks or odds & ends
