Dear Alpine Families,
We would like to invite any and all parents to our next Principal Coffee Talk on Wednesday, November 1 at 3:40pm. During our Coffee Talk, we will present information about Alpine’s IB Program. We will also talk about READ plans, what they are, and how parents can help their children become fluent readers.
This Coffee Talk will also serve as an opportunity for you to learn about the school by asking your questions and providing your valuable insight as parents and community members. We look forward to seeing you.
Gratefully,
Amber Marsolek, Principal
Jennifer Dalby, Dean of Students

Halloween Promenade
Promenade Details:
The promenade will take place outside, circling the school building, and it kicks off at 2:50 PM, right after the classroom parties. Families, you’re invited to join the festivities as well! It’s going to be a howling good time, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Classroom Parties:
Our dedicated classroom teachers will be in touch with you to provide all the details about the classroom parties. We kindly request that the parties focus on enjoyable activities and skip the treats. With all the Halloween candy in store, your little goblins will have their sweet tooth satisfied.
Costume Guidelines:
To ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween celebration, please keep these costume guidelines in mind:
Change at School: Students should bring their costumes to school and change into them immediately before the party and promenade.
No Weapons, Fake Blood, or Masks: For safety reasons, we kindly ask that costumes do not include weapons, fake blood, or masks.
Minimal Face Paint/Makeup: While we encourage fun and creative face paint or makeup, please refrain from full-face paint to ensure visibility and comfort.
Library Oasis: At Alpine Elementary, we also understand that not all our students celebrate Halloween, and we want everyone to feel included and have a great time. Therefore, we’re excited to announce a special alternative activity in the library for those who prefer not to participate in Halloween festivities. Our library will transform into a haven of creativity and learning, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience for students who choose not to partake in Halloween. We’ll have a selection of engaging books, puzzles, and STEM activities to keep our young learners entertained and inspired throughout the afternoon.
Thanksgiving Lunch Change
Due to an overwhelming response from Alpine families and a slight food shortage through our nutrition services vendors, we will no longer be able to serve cafeteria lunch to parents on November 9. However, we are excited to offer an alternative for families who have already RSVPd for the event. We will now be catering the parent portion of the luncheon through Perkins Restaurant.
Our fabulous PTO will be serving the parent portion of the lunch and providing additional sides and dessert. The meal will consist of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and pumpkin pie.
If you previously confirmed your attendance for this event and would prefer not take part in this lunch after our change in plans, please contact the office, and we will refund your $5.
We currently have 50 spots available on first come first serve. Submit your $5 per person to the office to confirm your spot.
Thank You Veterans
Alpine is also creating a “Wall of Honor” for Veterans over the next few weeks. There is a template that has been sent home in Thursday Folder that you and your student can fill out and return at any time to the office or to Deb Bonner. Please feel free to fill out more than one. Extras can be sent home.
If you would like to include a family member or loved one on our “Wall of Honor” you can also digitally send the following information and a picture to:

Community Night
Thank you to everyone that attended the last month’s community night at Chipotle. We raised $524, which totally crushed our goal of $300! The next Community Night will be on Tuesday, November 7 from 3-9pm at Texas Roadhouse on 2351 Clover Basin Drive. They will donate 10% of the proceeds from all orders during that window plus they donated food for the October teacher conferences. Note that in order for Alpine to get credit you must present your flyer, either in the restaurant for dine in or at the to go window for pickup. If you have time to eat there in person then you may be able to make friends with some other Alpine families. Hope to see you all there!
