Bio

Hello. My name is Amanda Richmond. I am excited to be a part of the Alpine team for the 2nd year. I have been in education for 20 years and this will be 10th year teaching 3rd grade. I have two masters degrees: a MS in applied psychology from Montana State University and MA in Education from Sierra Nevada College. I grew up in Boise, Idaho, but I have also lived in Oregon, Montana, Nevada, and my husband and and I spent an extended amount of time traveling the United States and Canada living in a van. We love to travel all over the world and have been to China, Mongolia, France, Italy, and more. I have 3 brilliant, teenage children and a wonderfully supportive husband who is a professor at Metropolitan State College of Denver. We live on a small farm and enjoy working with our local 4H.

I LOVE to integrate technology and movement into our learning. We will use websites I have develop to help us do several research projects that will enhance our learning experiences in reading, social studies, and science.

I believe that every child has great potential and together we can make this our best year yet!
