Bio
Mrs. Sarah Rauker is excited to work with your children.  She mostly works with multilingual learners at Alpine World School.  Sarah began teaching kindergarten and second grade in Virginia in 2002 and moved to Colorado in 2004.  I substitute taught for a short time and got a literacy/ELD position shortly thereafter in Adams50.  I was hired as a ELD teacher and got my masters in cultural linguistic education at CU Boulder while working full time for 5 years in Adams50.  In 2008, I gave birth to my daughter, Antonia and quit teaching for five years.  I had my son, Niko 2 ½ years later.  I started substitute teaching in St Vrain and Boulder, took some long term positions, and started working part-time at Alpine in 2017 as the ELD teacher.  My passion is teaching language to kids.  I love to see the growth students make in English while at Alpine.  I  enjoy working with each and everyone of my students and building relationships with them throughout their time at Alpine.  I always tell my students they have a super power, which is speaking more than one language.  It is such an asset and will help students learn and grow into responsible, caring, independent adults.
