PIE January Sessions

Session descriptions:
The January PIE sessions will be a two-part series, Active Parenting for Teens. These classes offer parents skills and strategies for better communication with young people about substance use and sexuality. Parents will learn about the negative social and physical effects of substance use, with a special emphasis on how substances affect the developing brain.
Active Parenting for Teens Session One- TUESDAY January 12, 2021 6-7:30pm

  • Overview of youth substance use, and sexual health
  • Reducing the risks
  • Prevention strategies focus on sexual health

 Active Parenting For Teens Session Two- TUESDAY January 26, 2021

  • Review of the issues- youth substance use, risk behaviors, protective factors
  • Prevention strategies focused on substance use.
