Community Opportunities

International Mindedness: Cinco de mayo International mindedness is central to our learning at Alpine Elementary IB World School.  We are fortunate that both Longmont and Denver are famous for their exciting family-oriented 5 de mayo events: parades, music, folkloric dancers, taco eating contests—you can even enter your Chihuahua in a beauty contest! Longmont’s celebration is from 11-6 pm, Saturday, May 4 at Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave.  More info is at www.longmontcincodemayo.com or www.cincodemayodenver.com. This event is always lots of fun and the best chance all year to get some
delicious, authentic Mexican dishes like elote (corn-on-the-cob), pollo con mole, and mango on a stick! Mmmm!
