Counseling News

Ms. Richards started counseling lessons in the classroom last month and had a great time with students exploring important topics. Our new curriculum integrates literacy while teaching important social and emotional skills. See below for the book and topic your student is learning in October. 

Kinder: We will be learning about Patience by reading “Llama, Llama Red Pajama” by Anna Dewdney

1st: We will be learning about Self-Regulation by reading “Krankenstein” by Samantha Berger

2nd: We will be learning about Teamwork by reading “Juicebox Bully” by Bob Sornson and Maria Dismondy

3rd: We will be learning about Asking for Help by reading “Sheila Rae the Brave” by Kevin Hinks

4th: We will be learning about Accountability by reading “Horton Hatches an Egg” by Dr Seuss or “But It’s Not My Fault” by Julia Cook

5th: We are doing a Design Challenge around improving our school community, empowering kids!

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
